Welcome!

There are many sites focused on creating communities for photographers to showcase their work and share ideas, photo techniques, and discuss new products.  Yet, there are not enough sites that allow you to contribute to contests and win free stuff!

What is ThirstyPhoto™?

This site was created with a few simple goals :

» Create a fun way to get your photography out there and critiqued by other users.

» Have enough contributors (you!) that marketing folks at big companies with stuff to sell – give it away to our contests for free.

» Showcase Contest winners who deserve our continued praise for excellent work.

We have integrated this site with Facebook to make it easy for Facebook users to participate on this site and continue to develop our Facebook App into a new way to engage with the online community to share photography and feedback around the world.

Here at ThirstyPhoto™ we do not want huge user galleries of snapshots and hope that you submit only your best photos to our contests.

Our intent is to support amateur photographers with a platform to share, critique, and learn from one another.

If you are a professional photographer – the best way you can contribute to the community is by blogging on ThirstyPhoto™ about techniques, equipment reviews, and your general experience. We are also looking for experienced photographers to participate in judging panels for some of our contests.
