Rules – The Basics

Use common sense when participating in Contests on this site. Abusing these basic rules could disqualify you from the Contest, and that’s no fun! We still recommend to reading the ‘Fine Print‘.  Regardless of how much it entails, it is worth understanding.

Let’s keep this site simple and avoid having to add too many Common Sense rules.

1. Be an amateur photographer.

2. Submit your own work, don’t infringe of someone else’s.

3. Do not submit old photos – submissions should be within 3 years of the Contest opening.

4. Do not submit a photo that already won a previously held contest here or anywhere else.

5. Do not abuse the site’s open policies on submissions, by submitting volumes of photos for a single contest – it will be obvious.

6. Do not abuse the site’s Voting Policies.

7. Be constructive in your comments on someone else’s work. We all appreciate criticism better when we can learn and improve our photography from it.

8. Enjoy the competitiveness, learn from others, and strive to improve your own skills!
