Getting Started
There are a few steps to get started
Get an account on Facebook. If you already have one great! This site is centered on our Facebook App for running contests and displaying photography. You will need a Facebook account to participate.
Connect your Facebook account to our site. Once you do, you have access to a number of features, most importantly the chance to submit photos and win prizes! There are a few way to do this.
Add our Facebook App @ http://apps.facebook.com/thirstyphoto
In the App, find the eligibility button
on the contest listing page. When you click it, it will check to see what other steps you need to do to enable more features to the site. You have to do this if you intend to submit photos and rate photos during a contest.
You will also notice in the upper right corner of the site a Facebook Connect button. If you are not logged in, simply click this button and it will connect you. Once you are connected, future visits to the site will connect you automatically if you are already logged into Facebook. This makes using the app and our site easier when participating in contests.

How do you delete an image?
Hi Kyle, I added some functionality this weekend to make it easier to giv epeople access to Edit, and Delete thier own photos. Please try it out and let me know if it works for you. Once the contest enters the voting phase, both edit, and delete features will be turned off.

@Johanne Brunet
Johanne, I worked on some code this morning – to help me review photos quickly. You should now have edit permissions for your photos. Please check and let me know if not!
@Nick Newell
Just for the sake of curiosity (and to stop worrying as well), how long does it take now to get a photo approved?
It would be nice if the new entries were not visible to the public until they are approved, so that we can edit info, correct typos, add title, etc. before they are available for general viewing.
Hi Johanne,
That is a good suggestion. I will look into it! I have been trying to get more automated approval so one can quickly do the edits rather than waiting for the approval to go through. Its taking longer than I thought!

Please delete “High Life ver. 2.0″ from signs contest. thanks!
done!
Hey Nick.. I guess I missed the “Theme” when I submitted… could you please delete my photo “Honey of a shot”? Thanks!
I love the “prize” aspect of the contest. It makes for a more challenging competition by encouraging to only submit your best work.
Now if I didn’t have to think so much to get around the site.
I think I’m getting the hang of it.
Hi Kory, I agree the site is not very UI friendly. I’m not the best layout artist by far. Hopefully overtime I can find a better way to present the site and make it easier to navigate!
Looks good.
